The "The Water We Want" Contest aims to explore the various legacies of water — natural and cultural, tangible and intangible — from the perspective of young people, with the goal of building a more sustainable future. Held between November 2023 and May 2024, the contest is promoted by the Global Network of Water Museums (WAMU-NET) and seeks to strengthen education for water sustainability and awareness-raising efforts.
Through this contest, young people are encouraged to become storytellers and narrators of our "liquid" future. How can we inspire new perceptions about water and find new ways to respect nature? What revolutionary yet small-scale actions and feasible nature-based solutions can contribute to the re-evaluation of water heritage and improve the sustainability of all water uses?
Here, we highlight the most outstanding selected participants, followed by all entries by category. Come and discover the visions and creations of the young participants!
